We have had a wild and crazy first month of homeschool! I have been homeschooling J for two years; but this is my first year to teach two kids at once, plus have a one-year-old! J is in second grade and is making big strides in math and reading. S just started Kindergarten! He is learning to read and feeling a huge sense of accomplishment at sounding out words. G is running around, getting into everything! I am definitely still finding my way as a homeschooling mom, but God is really teaching me a lot. August was both fun and difficult. I thought I would post some pictures of our adventures. I have a feeling this year is going to be pretty eventful!
Our adoption process is still continuing, and our t-shirt fundraiser is currently up and running. Please be sure to check it out and purchase one at https://www.bonfirefunds.com/lynches-love-adoption.
First Day of School Celebration with Sparklers!
J and S went to a Lego robotics class. S made a caterpillar that really inched! J made a venus fly trap which would close on your finger!
The boys built towers out of marshmallows and spaghetti noodles!
The boys love bike riding with Dad!
We spent a day at the Alabama Wildlife Federation.
We learned about U.S. History at the Lego American Roadshow. The boys also made and raced Lego cars!
A giant spider made its home on our porch! We studied it and drew pictures of the spider and its web.
S read Blueberries for Sal and did lots of projects about the book. Here he is counting out “blueberries.”
