Merry Christmas and Happy Movie!

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! I hope that your holiday season was blessed! We have had a wonderful time visiting family–grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Christmas time is always a little bit bittersweet for me. We have the best time celebrating our Lord’s birthday with family. But every year I miss our adopted baby, and I wonder how much longer we will have to wait until our family grows through adoption.  I have to continue reminding myself that God has a specific child for our family. I just have to trust Him and wait for our child to be born. Nothing I can do will rush God!

In the meantime I do have happy news!  We have wanted to hold a family movie event for around two years, and it is finally happening!  On Saturday, January 21 at 3 p.m. we will be hosting a showing of Disney’s “Meet the Robinsons” at Frazer United Methodist Church. The church is graciously allowing us to use their facility.

Tickets are free! You can get tickets at the door; but getting them ahead of time will help us prepare. You can reserve your free tickets on Eventbrite. The link is at the bottom of this blog.

We will be selling concessions to raise money for our adoption fees. A love offering will also be taken.

We hope you come out to join us for a super fun afternoon. And invite friends! We would love for this event to spread the word about orphan care as well as be an awesome event for families!

“Meet the Robinsons” is our favorite adoption movie. It is hilarious, heart-warming, and a blast for all ages! We can’t wait to see you there!
